Recently returning from international tours to Austria, Hungary, Malta and Cyprus the Koomurri men and women performers kicked off 2019 across the Sydney Harbour performing cultural dance and didgeridoo for the televised Australia Day /Survival Day. As we move into the year our school and preschool incursions programs are in full swing and our corporate performance, aboriginal workshops and team building programs a fast-growing and we also provide service to visiting international companies booking our unique fully catered workshops and events.
Our team look forward to again working with our wonderful clients from years past and welcome the many new people we are about to meet across Australia and internationally that help us celebrate our culture aboriginal with Australians of all backgrounds and citizens of the world.

With members hailing from a variety of clans including the Kamilaroi Peoples of northern NSW celebrating with Yibadhaa Gambuu Dreaming (Red Belly Black Snake), Sea Turtle Dreaming from the Torres Straits, Bunya Dreaming of the Gubbi Gubbi People on the Sunshine Coast of Qld, Mununjali Mibin Dreaming (Wedge Tail Eagle) from west of the Gold Coast & Yuin Peoples of Southern NSW Umbarra Dreaming (Black Duck), Koomurri demonstrate their love of sharing cultures, revitalise their traditional skin markings, making of their costumes & reinvigorate the crafts of their ancestors live on stage.
Koomurri implement these traditions with a mix of traditional culture and contemporary dance brought to life by our deadly Koomurri dancers lead by the teams cultural leader Russell Dawson, complimented by some of Australia's most exciting Didgeridoo players and our indigenous language song-man Cecil Mcleod.
Our School incursions and workshops are renowned Australia wide and are customised to suit each age groups through to HSC students, Tafe, colleges and universities.
Our adult programs are a hit across all styles of business, NGO's and government bodies and can be performed in-house or in outdoor areas and function centres. We also perform concert and ceremony for large events and stadiums.
This program can be customised to suit school camps and programs, corporate, medium and small business, tourism and travel agents cultural tours, sporting teams and special needs organisations looking for an authentic educational and fun experience.
